Academic Assessment & Progress Monitoring
We offer all students the opportunity to define their current academic areas of strength and need. Using norm-referenced and standardized measurement assessments, we utilize the results and shared information to develop a student’s action plan. Each action plan is customized and personalized for each individual.
For each student, we provide on-going progress monitoring. This can include formal and informal assessments. Parents have access to their child's Google Doc folder containing personalized lesson updates and information on progress. Ongoing communication keeps parents informed and aware of progress.
Student Testing and Assessment Services
EtB provides in-house assessments to better determine a student’s strengths and areas of need. Our Speech/Language Pathologists provide comprehensive speech/language testing. Academic evaluations may be helpful to determine a student’s current area of need. We use testing not just to identify scores, rather to better understand how an individual thinks and processes information.
Our in-house academic testing does not provide a diagnosis, rather indicates characteristics and information on best intervention practices to close academic gaps. Our academic testing does meet the requirements for annual homeschool evaluations and progress monitoring.
More detailed comprehensive evaluations with educationally related diagnosis, are known as psycho-educational evaluations. These are conducted by a school psychologist. You may contact our office for referrals.
For students who have received outside assessments or comprehensive testing, EtB is available to assist with interpretations, intervention recommendations, and seeking other providers, school placements or other educational support services.

Parent and Family School Support
EtB Specialists are available to assist with school accommodation plans, such as 504 Plans and special education intervention plans, such as Individual School Plans (IEPs). We are not advocates, however, we are knowledgeable about special education and instructional approaches based in science. Our specialists allow the parents to feel comfortable and attentive at school meetings, while guiding and supporting the student’s needs through the team meeting.
